MINDLESS MEANDERINGS

    From time to time, contrary to common consent, I have a thought or two. I'll try to put the more constructive of these here. (Always to be taken with a grain of salt.)

LINKS 2003

    Would someone please tell Oprah Winfrey that just because she has a magazine she does NOT have to put her mug on the cover every month.
   

    All I have to say about the graphics and the ball physics in Links 2003 is this: I bought it, installed it, played it, uninstalled it, then went back to Links 2001.
   

SELLING COURSES

    Initially I thought the idea of selling courses sucked. It was contrary to what the Links designing community is all about. It is full of generous folk who offer all manners of assistance and information and brilliantly designed courses all for free.
    Also, I didn't feel like paying for something I was previously getting for free.
    However, if you told me I could release a course and make a couple hundred bucks I may be tempted. For about ten seconds. If you told me I could make a thousand bucks I might cry out a Homer Simpson-like "Woo Hoo" and start designing.
    Will there be much money to be made? Not likely.
    What I would like to see is a handful of designers getting together and putting at least six courses on a disc. Sell that for five bucks. And include all your texture files and panoramas too damnit.
