LINKS WORLD - HALL OF FAME

I have tried to keep my short list of amazing courses extra short. I want only the cream of the crop here. I can guarantee the courses contained within are Must-Haves. There are many courses I could include here but something was not quite as sharp as those below. To make this list a course should be solid from tee to green with no noticeable design flaws, should be highly playable, and should have something that sets it apart.
If you haven't downloaded these masterpieces yet pop over to my links section.
And if you think there is a course that is worthy of this Hall of Fame please drop me a line.

.

XILVER PLAINE

This gem was designed by Rick Weathers and the custom textures take you into a separate Links world. This is one of only a handful of courses to completely invent a new look and this combined with excellent gameplay easily places this course in the Hall of Fame.

.

WOODBRIDGE

Playing Matthew Woodbridge's only course to date is the closest to reality a Links course has come so far. Like Xilver Plaine this course has a completely custom designed look which you can only appreciate when you look at the course in the APCD. Careful design of the textures results in perfectly smooth transitions.

.

NORTHERN DUNES

Northern Dunes, which was renamed Ayrshire Dunes, is a creation of Mike Jones, the acknowledged Dean of APCD design. Deep sodwall bunkers are common and the hole design is precise and well-crafted.

.

EL SCORPION

Mike Jones adds another gem with this desert classic. El Scorpion has perhaps the best hole layout of any course you will find. The undulating fairways are in a class of their own.

.

AUGUSTA NATIONAL

If you haven't watched the Masters on Sunday afternoon you may not need this course. But you definitely need to watch the Masters. The greens are tough just like in real life and every hole will look like a familiar face.

.

PACIFIC BREAKS

Although overplanted enough to slow down even HAL, this is another solid design from Mike Jones. The most beautiful coast yet seen, and a stern test of golf. If your machine is up to it this is a tournament quality course.
